HVAC Seasonal Content Calendar: What to Publish and When [2026]

HVAC demand is seasonal. Search volume for AC-related keywords peaks in May-August. Furnace keywords spike in October-February. Maintenance searches rise in spring and fall. If you publish content when demand is high, you are too late — Google needs 2-4 months to index and rank new content. This seasonal content calendar tells you exactly what to publish and when, so your content ranks before the demand surge hits.

The Pre-Season Publishing Rule

Publish cooling content in February-March. Publish heating content in August-September. Publish maintenance content in January and July. This gives Google 2-3 months to crawl, index, and rank your content before the seasonal search spike begins. HVAC companies that publish “Spring AC Maintenance Tips” in May miss the ranking window. Companies that publish it in February capture the entire demand curve. Our FAQ and featured snippets guide goes deeper on this.

Month-by-Month Content Plan

January

Publish: AC and cooling content for summer ranking. Topics: “How Much Does a New AC Cost in 2026,” “Central Air vs Mini-Split Comparison,” “Signs Your AC Needs Replacement.” Also publish winter emergency content updates: “What to Do When Your Furnace Stops Working.” Social/Email: Promote heating tune-ups and emergency heating availability. Send maintenance agreement renewal reminders.
